Merete Mueller is an award-winning director and writer specializing in documentary stories and doc-style branded content. Her work has screened at SXSW, Hot Docs, DOC NYC and Rooftop Films, via Al Jazeera, the Canadian Broadcasting Channel, VICELAND, Netflix, The New York Times Op-Docs series and her recent work has been featured on digital channels like The New Yorker, The Atlantic and VICE.
With a strong sense of story and eye for subtle visual details, Merete’s work features dynamic interactions between bodies, architecture and landscapes. She’s covered environmental issues, design and technology, and told intimate stories about health and body image.
Her first feature-length documentary, TINY became one of the most popular indie releases on Netflix and iTunes. Merete also produced episodes of the investigative TV documentary series “Weediquette” and has directed commercial and editorial segments for clients including GE, Toyota Prius, United Pharmaceuticals, Cadbury and Citi Bank, CNE, and Vox.
